Overpaid in Past Years? Claim It Back

Texas law lets you correct certain factual errors and over-assessments from prior years and get a refund. Most homeowners never know it exists. Andy finds it for you.

  • ✓ We review prior-year assessments for correctable errors
  • ✓ We file refund claims under Texas Tax Code §25.25
  • ✓ You only pay if a refund actually comes back to you

Why It Matters

“I didn't know a refund was even possible. Andy found years of overpayment I'd never have caught.”

Refunds depend on your county records and eligibility. Andy reviews your home first, then tells you if there's a claim worth filing, before you pay anything.

Questions

Common Questions

Protests, refunds, and the app, answered plainly.

You enter your property address. Andy pulls your county appraisal record and compares it against recent comparable sales near you, assembles that evidence into a case, and files the protest with your appraisal district before the deadline. You review and approve before anything is submitted, and a licensed Texas consultant handles the hearing.
Requesting a review of your assessed value is a legal right under Texas Tax Code §41, and appraisal districts process thousands of them every year. There is no penalty and no mark on your record for asking. Your value is not raised as a consequence of filing.
For most Texas homeowners the protest deadline is May 15, or 30 days after your appraisal notice is delivered, whichever is later. Some counties and property types differ, so Andy checks the date that applies to your specific property.
Sometimes. Texas Tax Code §25.25 allows certain factual errors and over-assessments on prior years to be corrected, and a correction that lowers your value can create a refund on taxes already collected. Whether you have a claim depends on your county records and what the error was, Andy reviews your property first and tells you before filing anything.
